生活型

tree-shrub

形態特徵

  • Shrubs or trees, 3–10 m tall, young branchlets brownish tomentose to glabrescent.
  • Leaves petiolate, chartaceous, oblong-lanceolate, 6–13 cm long, 2.5–4.5 cm broad apex, broadly acuminate to rounded, base cuneate to rounded, inconspicuously denticulate, sparsely stellate-puberulous adaxially, densely so abaxially; petiole ca. 1.5 cm long.
  • Inflorescence many-flowered, ca. 8 cm long, flowers white or red, ca. 1.5 cm long, pedicels ca. 2.5 mm long; calyx tube ca. 6 mm long; corolla tube ovate-lanceolate, ca. 15 mm long, 5–6 mm broad.
  • Fruit oblong.

分布

  • 台灣 : in forests at low to mid elevations (to ca. 650 m.).
  • 世界 : Southern China.
